| They are all beautiful K ...mine all look awful at the moment after the storm and hail a couple of days ago, but I took this that morning in a forgotten part of the garden ...fighting it's way up through the weeds and stuff in a neglected corner out front ...can't remember the proper name but I recall banditos ...love the red. | I like all your pics of your salvias. I do have 4 or 5 but they are not flowering at the moment except for this one in pic.
I think it's a salvia . I do have a pretty greenish one and a few different red shades. I am not aware of their names but they are all pretty and do well here. I am filling up the spaces in cottage area with them .
The pretty red flowers behind are one of my correas.
I love the bright purple color of this one and have more around as they are nice and bright at this time of year.
If this is not a salvia , I would like to know what it is.

I like it very much ...grows easily from cuttings, it's tough and very
attractive.

| Yep Jean, that's the same as my S. leucantha 'Santa Barbara'. Mine started flowering in early autumn and when they are faded, I'll cut them back quite hard to the new growth. You should have some new growth towards the base too. I think Salvias are always worth having in any garden because the majority are sooooo tough and beautiful!! Lets see some more out there! |

but she will elaborate more later perhaps.

| I decided that I would propagate salvias and sell on ebay and yikes some of them have sold out real quick, knew that I should have taken more than 5 cuttings of each, this has kept me so busy and that is why I have been a stranger, sorry guys.
Will have more shots, I have so many salvias flowering and this is the best time of year for me to collect seeds as this is when a lot set, Winter, can you believe this.

| I have considered being an Ebay seller. I don't think there is enough money to be made unless you have a large inventory. The costs of packing, postage and the trips to post their purchase would not keep me in business. I would make more money by working an extra day a week.
Annette, do you sell your excess seed?

I send plants barerooted when there are 1 0r 2 and send them in the tubepots when there are more and only post out plants on mondays.
I just brought a big bag of searles potting mix and you guessed it will be taking mass cuttings tomorrow.

| Beautiful pics, All! Dale, I think the trick to E-Bay is, charge enough for shipping to pay for the handling! I don't sell on E/Bay, but I HAVE bought. ten one cent items can cost $30.00 in shipping! I didn't last long at buying beads on E/Bay!
Does anyone grow the May Night Salvia? I think that's the name. I had a beautiful big bunch with tall purple spikes, and the yardmen kept cutting it down till it didn't come back.
