Chionanthus retusus

Chinese Fringe Tree in all her glory. May 2008 All flower buds were frozen last year due to late freeze. Not this year!

A Chinese Fringe Tree in a nearby nursery is loaded with berries - they look like 'almond' sized plums. I'm wondering at what age the berry production starts - it seems like there would be berries if there is bloom. My young tree bloomed, but I have no berries.
