I have tried to start oregano from seeds twice. The first time, the seeds came in a disk which could be directly planted into a pot. It was an herb mix package with parsley, marjoram, basil, and chives as well. Each of the plants had its own disk, and all of them came up except the oregano. I kept them all in a sunny south facing window in 4" pots when I started them. After waiting for months for them to come up (and having them spill on the floor), I decided that they were probably not going to come up. I obtained some seed from a very generous person here at DG, and I have been waiting for awhile for them to come up and they are still not up. These ones, I planted in an egg shell and they have been sitting underneath a grow light. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
