How do you tell the difference between a iris, daylilie, and a marigold. I have some of each, but dont know which is which.

A marigold has finely divided, smelly foliage and is an annual, which lives and dies in one summer. Iris and daylily are harder to tell apart from each other, but I would say that irises have stiffer, more upright foliage where daylilies have narrower more arching foliage. The blooms are also somewhat different, if you catch them when they're blooming!

Look them up in PlantFiles, I suggest.
