It is similar to new zealand flax ( phormium). My curiosity is way up there on this one!!

sorry I took to long to get back with info. Its 22" H and 32" W, I too was thinking it may be a daylily but still no bloom. Thanks.

I'm guessing again.. I googled gladiolas and although I couldn't find a picture of the folliage the description of it fits your picture.

Looks like a ditch lily to me (daylily.) I have tons of them and some of them don't bloom either.
