I had thought it was a fern, but now I don't know. Is it a fern, if so what kind? Or something else?

Hi, I am new to site and no expert but we have a weed in mississippi that looks like that if you break off a piece and it stinks that may be it. Also queen ann's lace has similar leaves. It is quite lovely growing on sides of roads here, but it gets invasive. I tried moving some to yard and it keeps spreading. It has lacy white bloom. They are already blooming here.

No, it's not queen ann's. I am thinking maybe yarrow? I moved last year and thought I dug up my mil 's fern, lone fern at that! It is in almost total shade. But I will try the stink test> Thank you for your imput.

Hmmm---leaves look different from yarrow, in my opinion...

I think it could be Yarrow, or dill.

I'm with yotedog. I don't think it's yarrow. Fernleaf dill is not so fuzzy. I kinda looks like a weed my granny used to call rabbit tobacco.

well guys, I have 3 different yarrows and one is really close to this. I guess I'll have to wait and see if it buds up. She did collect alot of different ferns. And it was in the fern bed, guess I'll have to wait and see what it is.
