We stopped at the Dollar Store yesterday and they had the new low energy flourescent bulbs, (you know the ones that look curly) for a buck. DH grabbed four packages, and this morning we replaced the bulbs in our hallway lights. (Good opportunity to clean the bugs out of them, too. Ewww) They are equivalent to a regular sixty watt bulb, and give plenty of light. We're going to replace the ones in the garage door openers,and in a few other spots. Also going back to buy more of them, as the price is great. I know all dollar stores don't have the same merchandise, but it's worth a look see if you are near one.
