Is this an elephant ear? Can I trim back the unattched aerial roots? Should I prune it?

Not an Elephant Ear. You have a very nice Monstera Deliciosa: [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com] ... a member of the Philodendron family.

edited to say: The leaves split more and more as the plant matures.

I wouldnt trim the aerial roots or trim it but rather help them attach to a pole to continue to grow. U could take cuttings to make it bushier or start other plants
