This beautiful jewel showed up out of the clear blue sky yesterday. I don't have a clue where this came from. It looks to be some type of Lily maybe? Any help ID'ing this beauty would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Janet

Thank you Tom! I haven't yet determined which particular one of those 2 you named it is, but you've given me a good place to start looking. I appreciate it.

I just wonder where in the world it came from. I must have picked it up at RJHarrison's last Spring without any bloom and just planted it there.

It's really pretty. I've heard of rain lilies but this is the first time I've ever seen one.

Thanks again!

I didn't notice what the leaves looked like. I'll have to do that tomorrow. I did notice when I was going through the PlantFiles for both of those names, that they were both referred to as rain lilies. The closest I could see at the time was Cherry Blossom, but I didn't see the deep marroon throat like is shown in the PF. I'll have to go look in the morning for sure.

Thanks for the tip on the size of the leaves. I'll look for that.

Janet
