All impressive from the flowers to the folks. I really could sit by the water in that Aussie setting, it is so inviting. Must say my favorite is the rooftop, it is so secluded and warm colors with all that mossy green and the glass top table.
I must also say how impressed I am that all the visitors were so well dressed - we don't always see that in the US at such events.
BTW, you are lovely as the lilies, now don't start blushing we won't be able to distinguish you with those lovely reddish locks!
The Daily Telegraph Garden ... This garden is intended simply to provide an atmosphere of peace and relaxation.
The inspiration for this garden is the purity of design found in a Japanese garden , which is combined with an English planting tradition to create a harmonious, visually stimulating space.
The tree ferns were magnificent in this contemporary woodland design. The garden features elements from different eras, from prehistoric plants to contemporary bulding materials. The journey from the old to the new reflects the progressive research that is constantly undertaken by Cancer research UK.
After the show the garden will be relocated to a Bupa care home.
This one was one of my favourites!
Thats all for today folks!
I am going on holiday for a week and have tried to show all the photos from the show before I go, but there is more and I have run out of time! so... See you with the rest of the pics when I get back!
Wow!!!!! Sitting here speechless. The pic are totally awesome. The best bloom in the bunch is you though. Nice to see ya in person. Your a very lovely young woman. I sure appreciate that you took so many pics and are sharign them will all of us.
So glad ya got an opportunity to go. Lots of inspiration there for us. Sure wish my yard looked like alot of them. Ahhhhh good thing we can have dreams. : )
Panting over all the color and the arrangements we could make from all of the above, you did a marvelous job Terri of capturing the show. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a great holiday and see you soon.
Thanks for the compliments! Glad you are enjoying the pictures from the show.
On my return from Liverpool...The next garden was designed for George Harrison of the Beatles.
It's called From Life to Life, A garden for George
I really like the reflective water and natural area. The rest are lovely and lush, but a few are way to formal for my taste, they just look too perfect and I don't do "perfect" well LOL!
One of these days, I would love to see this show in person, but until then thanks for sharing all the wonderful displays. They do give one some great ideas.
Hi Terri - I just got back from a two-week vacation and am getting caught up on all the lovely photos you have posted. Wow - did you really get all that in in ONE day???? Is that a yearly event? Will have to make that a vacation destination real soon.
Thanks Candee and soilsandup! Yes it is a yearly event, the first day the Queen has a look around! a couple of days are RHS members only and the rest of the week it is open to the public. The plants are for sale on the last day of the show, Saturday at 4pm, they ring a bell!
I was only there for the day, so I didn't see everything. It is well worth a visit if ever you find yourself in this part of the world.
Hi Gwendalou! The show is in May, usually the 3rd week. I haven't checked the dates this year yet.
The George Harrison was a lovely garden, the mosaic paths were so colourful leading you through.
Glad you enyoyed it, hopefully I will go again this year, if I can find a friend to go with . LOL!
