My son & his girlfriend are looking at a mobile home in a park near me. This particular home was foreclosed on, and it is available fairly cheaply. I have never even known anyone who lived in one, so I am hoping someone can advise. We are supposed to go see the inside on Saturday. What do we need to ask, if they decide this is what they want, do we get a regular home inspector, or are there inspectors that specialize in mobile homes? If they really want it, do we need an attorney, like you would for a home sale? This home is supposedly less than 10 years old, and the bank is willing to sell it for $3000, which is far below the going price for a unit of that age around here. They are afraid that if they hesitate, they might lose the opportunity to buy it, I am afraid that if they jump in, they may be sorry for not investigating enough.
Help!
