One of my favorite flowers. Most of the time I don't have to take mine out of the garden in fall, they do fine for about 3 or 4 years I have found. Then I learned to plant a few new each year so that if I do lose them, I would continue to have more. Thanks for this very informative article.

I love glads about 400 or more. This amounts to 4 grapefruit mesh bags over-wintered in the garage. I don't stake, but try to plant deep enough and hill them. Thrips are my only to kill those buggers or the later plantings will not open the blooms up properly.
Ruffled pinks and whites tend to predominate for me.
