Bob, I didn't see you mention Sagos in your article, but maybe you did and I missed it completely, which is par for me. I have 4 sagos that was here when I bought the house. How in the gradu do I go about seperating these monsters. I have one that has at least 3 or 4 new heads or growths. I only have one that is normal if that is an accurate statement. Just one lovely single trunk. I would love to have all of them in a single trunk. Is this possible at all. The other 3 need to be seperated badly. Thanks for your help.

The article was about planting palms, not cycads. Sago 'palms' are not palms, but cycads.
