When I was a kid, the veterans used to collect money outside stores and give each donor a cloth or paper poppy. My mom said that my grandpap always donated to the veterans, so she did, too. Only once have I seen veterans doing this since I moved to CA, but I donated. That was years ago. Do veterans organizations still do this?
