Enjoyed reading your column...does bring memories back of days when we would march in memory of those who fought for our freedom...we celebrate here in Canada on November 11th..am always proud to wear the red poppy...although I've forgotten much in my old age lol the poem of Flanders Field still remains strongly embedded in my mind..I do not believe the children of this generation are taught the importance of honoring those who fought and died for our freedom...
