A tough day for me. I planted tomato seeds in late March. Ok. Maybe too early. The seeds came to fruit under fluorescents. I then put them under a haloid light. They grew up too slender and by the time I took them outside this we3ek, they were 4.5 feet tall. But scrawny. I live in Mass. It is windy here. I put them in a portable greenhouse for hardening, but it did not matter. I think the cast majorint of my 20 scrawny tomato plants dies, even with the outside greenhouse for hardening. So I went to Home Depot and bought 12 healthy plants.
What did I do wrong? How can I grow thick, healthy plants?
