Hello, new to this forum. I'm on another mission! In the process of doing an extensive makeover of my garden. I live in SE Nebraska, zone 5a. Have always loved the showy Lady's Slipper. Years ago ordered some from Mellinger's. Killed 'em. Part of my new adventure, is to have more of an idea of the plants' requirements (imagine that!)
This spring, I completed a carnivorous peat bog, almost ready for a lotus, in my lotus pond. I'm doing what I have been calling "pocket gardens", to meet more of the plants' requirements, with the theory, that if I can't get something to grow in a pocket, surely something will grow in it for me...
So this brings me to this forum... I have full sun to shade. Is there anyone close to this area with some needed "newbie lessons"?
Thanks...
