Interesting article, thank you. Is yours blooming already? I was sent some dried foliage of this delightful plant and learned to extract the seeds from the same DGr. Unfortunately, I've not managed to germinate them. I do love the fragrance of it and am sure you will also. Good luck with this plant.

This is one of my favorite salvias, it's also native to California so I've got a few of them in my CA natives bed. I love the smell of the leaves, although I've heard that some people don't like the smell of this one. It is pretty strong smelling, but personally I think it smells wonderful!

Finally, something I have growing and can comment on! :-)
Here's our first Pozo Blue (actually two plants side by side) - I had to really whack it down last year, so it's not back to its full figure, so to speak.I have allergies and I'm very sensitive to scents (alyssum just kills me) but this stuff smells wonderful to me. It's like aromatherapy!

Well, darn, can't upload a photo. Let me just say it is BIG. Loved it so much we planted another one last year. It really does need room, though - ours is probably 8 feet wide and nearly as tall when left to its own devices.
