Hi
I was silently waiting at the local slough and along came this Great blue Heron.
At least I think this is a Great blue.
Is this a female?

Yep, Great Blue Heron, adult. There's no difference in sexes, so can't tell on that!

Oh, but you should take your camera ... you never know what critter might pop in that you'd like to photograph! That Heron photo is really awesome with the reflection in the water!

Great shot! Ours are very shy, took me years to get a picture half that good!

Yes, be sure to watch them. They are great at fishing.
