Today I got an envelope with just some cash in it! There was no note with order #, Description or DG name. I think I located the right person, but can't be sure. I have had several sales for the same amount due, so it took a little detective work to locate it. Thank goodness, there was a legible name and address on the return address.

Since I also sell on Ebay, this added to the problem. This persons return address was not the same location as shown on DG, but it is at least in the same state. I am waiting for a reply to D Mail before I ship the plant.

I request on my listings for people to please include their DG name, Order # and description with their payment. This should be included with any payment, cash, check, Mo or PayPal.

Welcome to my world. We have always accepted subscriptions to DG by check or money order, and periodically I receive a payment with no order number, and try as I might I can't match it up to a member.

In cases like that, I send the payment back with a note saying that they didn't follow the clear instructions they were given (i.e., include the order id in the memo field). Thankfully, it's only happened about 5 times in 7 years but it's very frustrating when it does, and it wastes everybody's time.
