This unusually beautiful, cool, and wet spring here in the Midwest has resulted in many, many JM seedlings sprouting underneath mature specimens, especially 'Bloodgood' JMs. Some larger trees have literally hundreds in the mulch beneath the tree's canopy! What bounty! I'm getting calls from clients who want to save them and grow them on. Who can advise me the proper time and best way to transplant these little gems?
