I started some "wave" petunias this spring, and one of them lived all the way to the garden. I wasn't sure it was growing, however, until I compared a photo taken a few weeks ago to a photo taken a few days ago. They aren't taken at the same distance, but you can still tell that the later one has a LOT more growth on it.
The color of the leaves has actually not changed.
