I planted an orange seed and now it is taller than me. Will it bear fruit? How long does it take? Thank you!

yes it will but like most fruit trees grown from seed it ill take 3 to 5 years and you may want to trim it back in the late fall to keep it at a good size

I live in NC- can I leave my orange tree outside or would it be best to bring it in for the winter. Also, how do I prune it? Thanks!

I think that Charlotte is in zone 7? You will need to bring it in for the winter. If you were right by the coast it might be warm enough that you could keep it outside and just throw a blanket over it on occasional cold nights, but where you are your best bet will be to bring it in.
