My relitaves first settled in the Williamstown Kansas Area and we farmers, hunters and fishermen. The Brackens came from Kentucy and Tennessee. The Arthurs were from Indiana. The Viles and Bates were from Germany. I don't know where the Fryes and Fowlers came from before Kansas. Wolud like to hear from anyone who might be related or have information.
Strawberry Gram, There is Fowler's and Brackin's living in my area. Both of these families are nice people. Would you like the families phone #'s? Who knows they could have some info. Never hurts to try.
We have Bates in our family, but they come from England. We are on Ancestry.com . Look up Mary Ann Bates, born 1833 in England. Her father was John Bates.
