Can someone please tell me why my lawn is not a deep green but a light tent of yellowish?

You may have better luck if you post your question in the Beginner Gardening forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/b_gardentalk/all/ It will also help if you can post a picture and give a little more info on how you've been caring for it (water, fertilizer, etc) and the conditions (are there big trees around, are you having a heat wave/drought), has the lawn been like this for a long time or is it a change that happened recently, etc.
