My hummer feeder has the little glass tube coming out of a bottle; and I need a replacment stopper for the end of tube. Is there anything I can use to replace this little stopper or cap (without paying $8 plus shipping which I found online)? I was trying to locate something around the house to use, but haven't come up with anything yet.

you can probably use a cork of some sort, you'd have to carve out the hole yourself.

Tammy have you checked to see if theres any wild bird stores near you?

They should have replacement parts if you can't find anything at home.

In the tool box I found a small red soft plastic wall anchor, that you put in drywall to hold a screw. It pinched together just enought to insert it into the tube; and it does not seem to be dripping. It has the hollow center for the hummer's beak; so it might work...then I can easily change it when it becomes dirty.
