The Ditch Lilies are in full swing here in west KY, and I love them! Have my own little ditch full myself.

    Thanks for the great article!

another great article. I continue to be amazed by Aunt Bett and like you, wonder how she gained all this knowledge. I guess she had her own mentoring aunt, yes?

sharran, a story about Aunt Bett, her girlie days and who taught her all this wonderful info would be the ultimate.

Would be interesting to see where her knowledge came from...from generation to generation and know it's being passed down to Ethan..another enjoyable article..

If I can ever get to the end of the probably 10 years that I spent with Aunt Bett, I probably will tell you how she learned all that she knew. It all goes back to one of the great grandmothers, and I will have to do a little geneology research to find it, but there was a great grandmother who was Native American. I do know a little bit about her from what Aunt Bett told me. Not sure I can go back any farther than that, though...

Thank you for writing, you surely do brighten up my days.

Vossner, I meant to tell you that I have some writings on Aunt Bett's mother as well as her grandmother. It has been in the back of my mind to see what I can do with that, but I am not sure I can come up with enough info for an article. It would be my great grandmother and my great great grandmother...a long time ago. I will see what I can do, though, and thanks for the suggestion.

I have complete faith that you can engage me and everyone else with the wonderful writing on A Bett's kin. Please, please move the project up on your "to do" list.
