I sure wish I had you when I totally killed 2 Japanese Maples about 3 years ago. The third one finally took, but only after I had mourned the demise of the first two.

I'm not sure it was you... J Maples always seem "tricky" to me, just a bit fussy until they get situated... mostly I stick to red maples & "swamp maples" which seem much less touchy, LOL.
