I came across some bamboo today its 3 inches around and every 6 inches it has a shoot coming. It looks like the picture on the top yellow with green stripes. i cut the segments and put in pots with the shoots upwards. Is the dirt supposed to touch the new shoots or just the stalk. I would add a picture but today is are day for serious rain tomorrow I will add a picture thanks Dana
