Since I first saw a lovely specimen of Cypripedium kentuckiense growing at Hana Farms two summers ago, I have become more and more enthralled by these extraordinary hardy terrestrial orchids. I thought it would be great to start a thread devoted to the exchange of information and techniques growers have employed successfully. I am really just a very passionate beginner as goes the body of knowledge and experience. So please drop in and share your thoughts, suggestions nd pictures of this most superb genera of terrestrial orchids. Here is a picture of a hybrid "Ulla Silkens" which was bred by the great Swedish hardy orchid pioneer, Svante Malmgren. It is a cross between C. Reginae and Cyp. Flavum...enjoy.
