Does anyone recognize this satsuki azalea hybrid? It's tag has been lost.

The blooms are quite large and any combination of the salmon pink and white shown in the photo-- some are pure white, some are pure pink, many are striped and splotched with both colors. It's a late bloomer here-- late May/early June timeframe.

Thanks!

ok... this has been driving me nuts, because I knew I knew of something that looked at least similar, but couldn't think of the name and had to wait until i could get to a particular book.

I think that it might be Eikan. the thing is really variable and hard to find pictures that look similar to yours.

Here's one pic and a link to the azalea society of america's pictures on it. they have several, so be sure to hit Next over in the corner of the page to look through them.

Thanks so much! I think you may have it right. The name 'Eikan' sounds familiar and several of those photos look just like my plant.

Thank you again!

Sure, I hope that's really the one! If not, it's certainly close.
