We had a miserable, long cold spring and then it rained! And rained...and rained! Well it has not rained for about a week now and things are starting to burst out all over.
My peonies which should have been in full bloom long ago are still mostly just in bud but this morning I went out to find two blooms on my old girl;!
I planted this peony in 1989 after I bought the house - didnt know anything about peonies except I wanted apink one. And in those days ( and still to a large extent) peonies around here were sold as white, pink and red! So I have no idea what this gal is but she sure is a lovely pink!
