I have a lightly shaded front yard. I'm in zone 9b. I wanted a nice sculpted spiral bush but didn't like the prickly options of those at the nursery here. DH suggested a JM.
The area?
I have 2 raised beds, about 20' long, 4' deep. It's almost 2 foot tall with good soil. There are no other plants in it but I plan to put shade plants there. These beds run the length of the house, one each side of the front door.
I have a Colonial but there is a wide space on each side of the door (in the beds) before the first window on each side. So I wanted something with height there...hence was thinking the formal look with the spiral bushes. But didn't like the ones I saw.
So now for height I'm wondering if there is a tiny/dwarf variety of JM that would do well in this area? If you can, would you provide a link in PF to your suggestion?
Thanks SO MUCH in advance!
