Man you weren't kidding about how they strip your plants. I checked my tomatoes one morning, they seemed fine, came home at lunch and looked at them, and the suckers had totally stripped my plant so it looked like bare bones. unbelievable. when we find them, we cut off the leaf or stem they're on and send them over the fence.

Tomato plants will generally bounce back pretty well from that, though... so if you do have an overenthusiastic cherry tomato plant to "sacrifice" or another alternative host plant, consider sparing one or two hornworms so you can enjoy the sphinx moths in your garden also!

Check your plants regularly for the telltale big black droppings (frass)... that's usually far easier to spot than the hornworms themselves.
