This is new to me. I moved here to KY a little over 2 years ago and my husband was trying to tell me about the pawpaws that he heard about and couldnt remember the name. I would love to try them. Where can i find them and could i grow them in my yard.

Hi Lori, welcome to KY. Morehead would be a great place for pawpaws. You might have to find an old farm, or ask around at your local garden markets for seeds. On the other hand, a young tree would be better and faster. I am pretty familiar with Morehead, and am quite sure it will grow well there.
Right now I am in Alaska, and will be returning to KY on Wednesday, so if you don't mind remind me later in the week and I will check around with some folks I know in your area and see if I can find a pawpaw source for you. It needs to be planted in the fall, I think.
Thanks for your comments..

Not yet, but I do have hopes for my brother. Of course they aren't ripe and edible till later in the fall, but I don't know of any other source for the kind I was writing about.

I won't forget you, Lori...
