We have three trees that she planted when she lived on the property we live on (she lives a block away now) and this year we harvested them. Usually we let the birds get them. Last year they didn't produce because of the late freeze we had here in KY, but this year they produced a ton. She made jam and pie. They are the sour variety but she loves to use lots of sugar!

Wonderful! From what my FIL says, it sounds like Levering Orchards may be having a bumper crop this year. I think they lost a lot to the freeze last year, too... I wonder if that gave the trees a rest, letting them save up energy for this year's effort!
