Thanks for the valuable info. I did not know that the tomatoe hornworm was the hawkmoth. I enjoy the moth when they visit my garden. If I see the worm again I will not kill it, just transplant it to a different host plant that I have too many off. I have lean so much about the identificatrion of different species. Not all bugs are bad in moderation.
