Hi all,

After I have read some comments and factored in my needs (macro's, birds, animals and so on), I decided to go with the Fuji. I need to thank all the people contributing to this forum. I got my baby this morning and I am pleased as punch! Just need to learn now..the pics are 1.2-1.6meg in size, so I had to bring the quality down by 40-50%, but you get the idea.

On this I had to move quick, they do not sit for long...but I will get better chances, I'm sure.

Great pictures. Love the bird one. Did you use the zoom for it?

I think you made a good choice. I am on my 4th FUJI, a S9000. I have been looking at yours, but I think I will wait for the next generation.
Learn to use the continuous shoting for things like birds.
Thanks for sharing your first photos.

Thanks potemup..I am pretty happy so far. The advantage of having something that can shoot macro's is great..it actually helps me to see stuff on the little succulants, I would otherwise miss.
