Geraniums for ground cover

(Cissy) San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi :)
What is the best geranium to use for a fairly low ground cover? The side of our house (corner house) has a large bare area that I would love to plant geraniums. I'd like the geraniums to spread throughout this area (small area, not real big). Would Ivy Geranium be the one or the Hardy Geranium? Geraniums grow great where I am in San Jose. I have several plants. Some are Ivy in pots and they "hang" over.

Thanks!

Ivy geraniums would do well in you area, but, they are not 'fast' to fill in (you could plant them close fro faster results).

I use the scented pelargoniums as a groundcover, but you don't get as many flowers as the hybrids.

Since the scented types are less prone to disease and insect problems I am happy with the foilage. Mine do very well in semi shade>

Thank you Dale! Yep, the Ivy's are great, but oh so slowwwww. Great pictures, Dale :) :)
