| I have a very small backyard, and have turned half of it into a veggie patch and half into a flower garden. I will post some pics. I have something eating my morning glories...i have a pic of that bug. Anyone who knows what this is and how to get rid of it, I would appreciate it! Click the image for an enlarged view.

| Here are the rest of my flowering plants...unfortunately a few of them died when I left them in my boyfriends hands for a week to go on vacation. Most things survived so thats what counts, right? Click the image for an enlarged view.

| Your garden's looking nice! I like the trellis you made for your morning glories, that's really cool!
For your veggie bed--you may find you need to thin out some of the seedlings, if they're too close together then the plants won't grow as well and you'll have problems with air circulation which can lead to fungal issues. But even if you thin them a little, you should still have plenty of things to eat!
I don't recognize your bug--if nobody else does either you might try posting it on the Bug ID forum, I'm sure someone there will know it. I wouldn't necessarily assume he's the one eating your MG leaves though, especially if he's the only one of his kind you've seen around. It could be a complete coincidence that he was on your MG, or he might be eating the bad bugs that are eating the MG, so make sure you get him ID'd and figure out whether or not he eats MG leaves before you kill him. |

| thanks for all of your advice ecrane3...I appreciate it! I will surely look over at the bug id forum and see if someone can help me over there.
Thanks for the compliment on the trellis...I had a lot of fun building it! I was afraid that the veggies might be crowded...maybe ill get a few trays and transplant them elsewhere? Ive heard that veggies dont like to be transplanted...Is this true? |

| Most veggies I think are fine with being transplanted, and since you need to pull them anyway you might as well try, there's nothing to lose. The only problem when you've got a lot of little small seedlings all smushed together sometimes it's hard to get enough roots along with the ones you're pulling out, that's why usually when I thin seedlings I just pinch out the ones I don't want rather than trying to transplant, it's a lot easier that way. |

| That makes sense...thanks for your input. I have nothing but time lately, so just to check it out I think I will give it a shot. At least a few anyways :) |
