The soil here is so rich (1910 home) that every plant grew huge in one summer. Please look at these pictures and tell me what I need to do to improve my massive mess. I just can't stop buying plants. I have one area for butterflies, one area is more formal in it's planting with fabric and mulch, one is a combination of everything and I think there are to many Iris.
The iris provide a wonderful hiding place for the rocks along the stream and pond in early spring but then it seems to much, even when I cut back the leaf. I'm happy for ANY suggestions.
There will be several pictures
