Chartreuse is my favorite color too! I actually did raise "green envy" zinnias from seed. They're so pretty! Not as lucky with Bells of Ireland. I tried and falied twice...oh well.
I bet the Hydrangea is pretty easy to find down there, and if the Hellebore isn't it is pretty easy to find online. I wonder how it would do down there? They bloom in mid December through January, even in freezing conditions. SO needed around here in Janurary.
Glad to find another Chartreuse lover robcorreia! I have it in every room in my house, including outside. :) I had Envy from seed one year...actually wasn't too impressed, but it was really neat to have a green flower in the garden. I also have had a hard time with Bells of Ireland. Started it several times, but it always gets leggy and succombs to damping off. Now it's coming up in a pot with something else, go figure.
I agree Al, maybe that's why I'm so drawn to them.
Susanne, you'll probably smile with this, my entire bedroom is also painted this color! Can't get enough of it. This year I planted some green Eucomis in my garden, yesterday I saw the first bloom is forming! So excited, these are supposed to be a beautiful chartreuse too, check them out if you can...
Rob
ps: I just came back from a hiking trip at the Rocky Mountains, I loved it! ; )
