Squirrels having a picnic in the tomato patch. They are quick as can be!

From time to time I see a post about Squirrels eating tomatoes in the garden and few suggestions on prevention. Well, while sitting in the waiting room at the doctors office today I picked up the June/July issue of Backyard Living and read an account how one reader has handled this situation.
Bagged Tomatoes --- Use Sandwich Bags over ripening Tomatoes and seal to the stem. The Squirrels do not bother them. Reuse the bags after harvesting. J.W., Stillwater, OK
