Does anyone no why my laceleaf japanese red maple is browning on the tips of the leaves. The browning starts on the tips and then spreads through the whole leaf till it falls off when dead. Can anyone help me save this tree before it dies altogether. Thanks for any help you can give me.
How much sun is it getting, and is it a new tree or one that's been there for a while? Your hot dry climate is not at all ideal for JM's--if this is a new plant it's possible it's not one that can survive your climate, or at the very least it probably needs to be moved to a shadier area. I'd also check up on your watering and make sure it's getting enough, that could be a problem regardless of whether it's a new tree or one that's been there for a little while.
