I recently bought Lemon Thyme "Doone Valley" from a very reputable nursery in our area. I explained that I wanted them to spread between steps made from Railroad ties. I also repeated to them that these would be planted in a shady area - almost no sun. I was assured that Lemon Thyme would grow in either sun or shade. I have only had them planted for three weeks but they are not doing very well. After reading articles posted by Jill Nicholas, I feel I have definitely been mislead by the nursery. I purchased 10 of these plants and they didn't come cheap. Is there any possibility they will grow in the shade?
