I have two zuccini plants. One produced a nice five inch zuccini and seems to be on the way of producing more. But the other has produced only very small zuccini-- maybe three of them-- that have turned yellow on the vine before they matured. Any ideas?
I'm a newbie and have some zucchini questions myself. I have four plants and two started to have small yellow fruits like yours. I started watering more and that helped. Now, however, all four of my plants seemed to have slowed ALOT. I harvested a few fruits off each plant and they seemed to have more on the way. Now they isn't much going on. Do I maybe need to fertilize? Any organic suggestions? Could I top dress with compost?
I was at a gardening store today and this guy helping me thought the reason for the yellowing young vegetables had to do with uneven watering. He was saying that consistency is important. I'd like to hear about fertilizing mid-season myself if any one knows. (I'm a newbie too!)
