When I pour the liquid into my canning jars, I'm very careful to fill it all the way within a half inch from the top of the jar. A few days later the liquid only comes about half way up the jar.
What is going on here and how do I fix it? Is the liquid seeping into the air space inside the okra? If this is the problem, should I puncture each pod and soak it before canning????
