Really? She was tossed around then a lot then. I put about 6" of shred at the end with th ecaudex, knowing that's the end that will most likely land due to the weight. I put more at the top, as the branches are more fragile.
I've promised dave apacking video that I need to get busy on. You should see some of the tests we put boxes through, especially on plants we've never packed before. They're thrown, kicked, dropped, slammed, and then opened. Out of 2000+ boxes shipped per year, we never have more than a half dozen claims for damage.
I have some good ideas for the video, that should be a lot of fun.
Out of about 400 boxes ive received only 4 or 5 were damaged
The post office doesnt refund or replace living plants so the insurance is a waste of $$
They killed a Hawaiian Palm on me and didnt care 1 bit.
