Probably some kind of Cordyline fruticosa, there are many cultivars.

They still do the "Lido shuffle" down there at Holmes beach..??

I never get down that far...stresses me out just to leave the Island to run errands on the mainland...LOLAM

kinda dates me a bit... lived on Longboat key for a bit back in the early 80's...had friends on Holmes beach. Boz Scaggs did a hit tune "Lido shuffle" which was all you heard on the jukebox back then... fun memories... loved all the tropical plants.
