Plant and Tree Identification: SOLVED: must be a weed...but what is it?

Its big leaves hug the ground and then it sends up several tall stems -- I guess they will bloom... I am hoping to find out what it is BEFORE it blooms in case I need to get them out now! That still leaves plenty of time before any seeds are ripe, in case it turns out to be invasive. I looked and looked with no success. Elephantopus tomentosus it is! Also called elephant foot...descriptive of the large leaves on the ground. Don't know how invasive it is, but I'm going to leave the ones I have to see what happens next year...
